Description

An excellent Lambayeque (Sican) orangeware bottle from Peru, c. 700 – 1300 AD. This fine single-spout vessel with split strap handle is 9-1/4” high and is decorated with linear and geometric design panels executed in negative resist style. The flared pedestal base features deeply incised pyramid designs. Highly burnished, good mineral deposits. Ex Tapia collection.
