Description
A fine Maya figure from the Tiquisate area of Guatemala, ca. 400 – 800 AD. This seated female is 6-1/2” high and is adorned with a headdress and large ear ornaments. She is painted with the cream and bright orange slip characteristic of the region, which shows extensive mineral deposits. Intact. Ex Kahn collection.
