A fine Maya polychrome bowl from El Salvador, ca. 800 – 1000 AD. This lovely corseted bowl from the Loma China area is 5-1/2” in diameter and is decorated with a glyphic design band executed in black over red slip. The interior is also red and has linear rim décor. Highly burnished, good mineral deposits, minor pitting on the interior rim. Ex Fred Eiserman estate.
