ISLANDS off IONIA, Chios, Autonomous issue. 2nd-mid-3rd century A.D. AE 3 Assaria (11.57 g, 35.1 mm). ACCAPIA/TPIA, Sphinx seated left, forepaw raised; at feet, prow of galley right / C-I/W-N, Apollo, holding phiale and Dionysos, holding cantharus and thyrsus, standing facing, lighted altar between them. SNG Copenhagen 1665 var (Sphinx right, no altar); SNG von Aulock 2285 var (same), BMC 122 var (same). VG, cracked flan, porous. Very Rare.
