Phoenicia, Berytus. Caracalla. AD. 198-217. Æ tetradrachm (12.16 gm; 27 mm). Cos. IV (A.D. 215-217). AVT KAI ANTWNINOC C?B, Laureate bust of Caracalla right, slight drapery on far shoulder / ?HMAP? E? Y?ATO ?, eagle with spread wings standing facing, head left wreath in beak; between legs, prow left. Prieur 1292. Well struck on a large broad flan. Dark earthen-green patina. Choice Good Very fine.
