PONTOS. Amisos. Struck under Mithradates VI. Circa 100-80 BC. Æ Tetrachalkon (8.46 gm; 20 mm). Head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath / AMISOV Thyrsos leaning against cista mystica and draped with panther skin; monogram to left. SNG BM Black Sea 1202-4; HGC 7, 243. Sharply struck on anice broad flan. Brown patina. Choice Superb EF "Almost as Struck".
