Description
KINGS of PERSIS. Vadrfardad (Autophradates I). 3rd Century BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.60 gm; 29 mm). Head of Autophradates I right, with moustache and earring, wearing diadem and kyrbasia / Fire temple of Ahura-Mazda, above, half-figure of Ahura-Mazda, to inner left, king standing right, standard to inner right. Klose & Müseler -; Alram 540 and 542(legend); Sunrise 570. Well struck on a nice braod flan. Overstruck on an earlier coin with trace of legend. Choice Good VF / EF. Nicely toned.
