SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgard I. (AD 399-420). AR Drachm (4.02 gm; 26 mm). Bust right on floral ornament, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos; & behind head / Fire altar with ribbons; flanked by two attendants; monograms to left of flames and on altar shaft, ÁZ to right of flames. SNS type Ib2/1a (cf. pl. 50, A20); Göbl type I/1; Mochiri, Petite -; Paruck -; Saeedi -; Sunrise 904. Some minor porosity and deposit around the edge. Well struck. Choice EF. Rare.
