ANTONINUS PIUS. 138-161 AD. AR Denarius (18mm - 3.43 g). Rome mint. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P COS III, laureate and draped bust right / VIRTVS AVG, Virtus standing left, holding reversed spear in right hand, parazonium in left. RIC III 102c; BMCRE -; RSC 1090. Good VF, nice metal. The draped busts of Pius are relatively rare.
