Octavian. 37 BC. AR Denarius (19mm - 3.63 g). Uncertain Italian mint. [IMP] CAESAR DIVI F III VIR ITER R P C, bare head right / COS ITER [ET TER DE]SIG, simpulum, sprinkler, vase and lituus. Crawford 538/1; CRI 312; Sydenham 1334; RSC 91. VF, toned, nice metal.
Struck following the signing of the Pact of Tarentum between Octavian and Antony, renewing the Triumvirate for another five years in the summer of 37 BC.
