A fine Moche IV feline head from Peru, c. 450 – 550 AD. This large example is 6” in diameter and is boldly painted to create a fearsome visage on the carefully molded chamber. The circular designs represent gold ornaments worn by members of the elite or deities. Strong paint and heavy mineral deposits. Ex Erika Roman estate. Value Range: $600 - $800
