Description
An adorable Maya Plumbate jar from El Salvador, c. 400 – 800 AD. It is 3” long and depicts a nicely detailed bird. This rare Tohil Plumbate example originated in the Soconusco region of Mexico and was a trade item distributed throughout the Maya cultural regions. Cf.
