Lot 304: ANTIQUITIES, A Pair of Bronze Age Terracotta Oil Lamps from the Holy Land

A lot of 2 Bronze Age terracotta oil lamps from the Holy Land. The first is an Early Bronze Age type, c. 3300 - 2700 BC, with rounded base and squared-off shoulders, H: 2 ¾” (7 cm); the second a Late Bronze Age type, c. 1500 - 1250 BC, with rounded base and characteristic pinched nozzle, L: 5 ½” (14 cm). The first repaired from two parts, the second intact, both with earthen deposits. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
