Description
A unique Colima zoomorphic effigy from West Mexico, c. 300 BC – 300 AD. This rare vessel is 8-1/4” long and depicts a snail carrying its shell on its back. The artist managed to convey motion in this sculpture. Rare motif in excellent condition, with highly burnished slip and good mineral deposits. Ex Arnold collection. Value Range: $750 - $1000
