Description
Parthian Kingdom. Gotarzes II. Ca. A.D. 40-51. BI tetradrachm (27 mm, 14.31 g, 11 h). Seleukeia on the Tigris, S.E. 357 (September A.D. 46). Diademed and draped bust of Gotarzes II left / King seated right, receiving wreath from Nike standing left, holding corncuopiae; above, year (ZΝΤ); in exergue, month (ΠΑΝΗΜΟV - partially visible). Sellwood 65.4; cf. Shore 359 (month). Nice large flan. Very fine.
