BYZANTINE EMPIRE: Romanos IV Diogenes, AD 1068-1071 (26mm, 7.9g), AE Follis, Mint of Constantinople. Obverse: IC- XC / NI- KA either side of facing bust of Christ holding book of gosples. Reverse: Cross pommee X in centre and C / R / P / ? in each limb. ( Staupe Bo??e? P?µa?? ?esp?t? ) "May the cross save-assist Romanus Despotus." Ref: DOC III, Part II, Page 996. Sear 1866. Double strike on obverse. Green with colorful highlights. About EF.
