Obverse: Head of Artemis Iolkia right
Reverse: [IO]ΛKIΩN, The Argos right.
Size: 13.55 mm
Weight: 1.88 grams
Grade: Very Fine
Notes: An extremely rare bronze with only a dozen known examples from this mint. Iolkos was the city of Jason leader of the Argonauts hence the Argos pictured on the reverse of this coin. See CNG electronic auction 311 lot 60 of September 25, 2013 for a better example that sold for just under $2500.

From CNG:

"Iolkos is best known as the departure point for Jason and the Argonauts. Liampi suggests the decorative element attached to the prowÆs stempost is the piece of oak from the sacred forest of Dodona, which Athena fastened to the keel for its ability to speak prophecies."
