Description
Attribution: Tingstrom pg. 245, 24.
Date: 1750 AD
Obverse: Central stamp with 2/DALER/SILF:MYNT, crossed arrows below all within rimmed stamp. Four corner stamps of which 2 are visible with crowned FRS monogram and 1750 below. Only one of the corner stamps is clear.
Reverse: Blank
Size: aprox 16cm x 16cm ( 6 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches)
Weight: 1122.4 grams
Notes: A nice example with a clear date salvaged from the Danish ship Nicobar which sank off Quoin Point Cape Town South Africa in 1783. Extensive salt water corrosion from 204 years in the ocean. Due to the excessive weight of this item, I am unable to ship outside of the United States.
