Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 B.C. AR drachm (17 mm, 4.21 g, 10 h). Chios, ca. 290-275 B.C. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / [Α]ΛΕΞΑΝΔΡ[ΟΥ], Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, M in circle above grape bunch. Price 2324; Bauslaugh -. Well centered and sharply struck. Faint die-breaks on reverse. Choice extremely fine.
