Ptolemaic Kingdom. Ptolemy II Philadelphos. 285-246 B.C. Æ (40 mm, 65.03 g, 12 h). Alexandria. Head of Zeus-Ammon right, hair bound with tainia / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ Π[Τ]ΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ, two eagles standing left on thunderbolt; between legs of the eagle on left, Δ. Svoronos 437; SNG Copenhagen 144 corr. (A between legs). Dark brown patina, areas of heavy porosity. Very fine.
