CILICIA. Tarsus. Gordian III. 238-244 AD. Æ 35mm (19.96 g). Radiate and draped bust right, holding spear pointed forwards and shield; shield decorated with gorgoneion between two serpents / Gordian on horseback right, thrusting spear at lion running right below. SNG Levante 1132; SNG France 1722 (same dies). Near VF, brown patina with some earthen highlights, minor roughness.
