SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgard I. AD 399-420. Silver Drachm (4.22 gm; 29 mm). Mint: AS (Asuristan, Ctesiphon Region), no year. Bust of Yazdgard I on floral ornament right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos / Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants, Crescent and letter “ w ” left of flame and crescent and letter “ h ” right of flame, inscription on altar shaft, crescents and letter flanking flames (SNS type Ib1/1a var. 4 (pl. 55, 67) ; Göbl type I/1; Paruck -; Saeedi -; Sunrise 915var. Choice FDC. Fully lustrous. Lightly toned. Good style.
