A fine Moche copper axe from Peru, c. 400 – 700 AD. It is 4” high, 3” wide and is a rare form with great patina. Cf. de Lavalle “Cobre del Antigua Peru”, page 465 for similar examples from the Museo Oro de Peru. Ex Tapia collection. Value range: $500 - $750
