Lot 236: ANTIQUITIES, Chiribaya Ceremonial Vessels

A matched set of fine Chiribaya polychrome vessels from the Moquehua area of southern Peru, ca. 800 – 1500 AD. The dish is 4-3/8” in diameter and is decorated with the traditional designs characteristic of the type, with a small zoomorphic rim adorno peering into the interior. The matching cup is 2-1/4” high and has a similar adorno and designs. In excellent condition with good mineral deposits. Ex Halderman collection. Value range: $350 - $500
