Description
Bohemia, SPYTIHNEW II (1055–61). Silver penny / denar, Prague, 0.94 gms; 19 mm. Facing cloaked figure holding spear +SPITICNEVDX / Figure with tiny head turned left holding long cross to left. EC[ ]V?SEVVS i.e. blundered SCSWENCEZLS. Cach 332 (unique); Frynas B. 9.1. VF with more detail visible and better style than the piece illustrated by Cach. Possibly the second known example. One of an extremely rare group of contemporary imitations of Cach 330 struck on larger flans but in crude style.
