Mysia, Pergamon. Ca. 166-67 B.C. AR cistophoric tetradrachm (27 mm, 12.08 g, 12 h). Ca. 98-95 B.C. Serpent emerging from cista mystica with lid ajar; all within ivy wreath / ΠΕΡΓ monogram to left, bowcase between two coiled serpents; above, ΛΥ; in right field, serpent-entwined thyrsos. Kleiner 16; Pinder 97; SNG BN 1721. Obverse die a little worn. Good very fine.
