KINGS of PERSIS. Vadfradad (Autophradates) II. Early-mid 2nd century BC. AR Hemidrachm (2.10 gm; 13mm x 10mm). Head right, with short beard, wearing diadem and kyrbasia surmounted by eagle / Fire temple, Ahura-Mazda above; to left, Vadfradad standing right; standard to right, standard surmounted by eagle; traces of legend to inner right and outer left. K&M 3/2; Alram 547; Cf. Sunrise 576(but Hemidrachm). Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned.
