Julia Domna. Augusta, A.D. 193-217. AR denarius (17 mm, 3.93 g, 12 h). Alexandria, under Septimius Severus, A.D. 194. IVLIA · D[O]-MNA · AVG, draped bust of Julia Domna / BONI E-VENTVS, Bonus Eventus standing facing, head left, holding plate of fruit and bundle of grain ears. RIC 608; BMC 328B; RSC 10. Clear and bold strike with a heavy-featured Alexandrian portrait style of Domna. Unusual obverse legend with pellet stops. Nice very fine.
