Description
Gordian III. A.D. 238-244. AR antoninianus (22 mm, 4.10 g, 6 h). Rome, A.D. 238. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III right / IOVI CONSE-RVATORI, Jupiter standing facing, head left, holding thunderbolt and scepter; to left, small figure of the emperor standing left, holding branch. RIC 2; RSC 105. Well centered and nice portrait. Good very fine / very fine.
