Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX. 1282-1328. AV hyperpyron (22 mm, 2.93 g, 6 h). Constantinople. Half-length figure of the the Theotokos, orans, within city walls with four towers / Christ standing facing, crowning Andronicus and Michael kneeling to either side. SB 2396. Clipped. Very fine.
