Seleukid Kingdom. Demetrios II Nikator. First reign, 146-138 B.C. AE (24 mm, 15.32 g, 1 h). Antioch on the Orontes. Laureate head of Zeus right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ ΘΕΟΥ ΝΙΚΑΤΟΡΟΣ, Apollo seated left on omphalos, testing arrow and resting hand on grounded bow; in exergue, monograms. SC 1912.1d; HGC 9, 992. Scarce. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Nice original brown green earthen patina. Extremely fine.
