PHOENICIA. Sidon. Baalshallim II. Circa 401-366 BC. AR 1/16 Shekel (9mm - 0.84 g). Galley sailing left above waves; letter above / Persian king standing right, slaying with dagger lion standing before him; letter between; all within incuse square. Elayi & Elayi 851-1191; Betlyon 18; SNG Copenhagen 197. Good VF, toned, obverse a bit off-center, choice reverse, well struck and well centered, nice flan, small test cut (?) on edge. Much nicer metal than normally seen for these.
