Corinthia, Corinth. Ca. 34-31 B.C. Æ as (23 mm, 10.61 g, 5 h). Q. Caecilius Niger and C. Heius Pamphilus, duoviri. CORINT behind, head of Aphrodite right, hair tied at back of head / Q CAECIL NIGR C HEIO PAM above, II VIR in exergue, Bellerophon on rearing Pegasos right, about to spear Chimaera standing left. RPC I 1128; Amandry VI, uncertain dies; BCD Corinth 637-8; SNG Copenhagen 200. Patina stripped long ago, now retoned, light porosity. Very fine.
