M AVB (sic)EL ANTONINV[S] PIVS AVG P B G MAX, laureate head of Caracalla right / ROMΛE above, FEL in exergue, she-wolf standing right, head turned to look back at the suckling twins, Romulus and Remus. SNG Hunterian 3216; SNG Righetti -; cf. SNG Copenhagen 365 (obv. legend); BMC 92. Brown surfaces, light porosity, die cud on obverse. Nice very fine.

The obverse legend seems to incorporate all of Caracalla's military agnomina: Parthicus, Britannicus, Germanicus, Maximus.
