Description
Diva Faustina I. Died A.D. 140/1. Æ dupondius (25 mm, 13.78 g, 12 h). Rome, under Antoninus Pius, after ca. A.D. 146. DIVA FAVSTINA, draped bust right / AETER-NITAS, S C across field, Aeternitas standing left, holding Phoenix in right hand, rasing hem of skirt with left. RIC 1157; BMC 1544-7. Pleasing dark brown patina. A few unfortunate scratches on the reverse but still attractive. Good very fine.
