Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 B.C. AR tetradrachm (24 mm, 17.12 g, 10 h). Uncertain mint in Cilicia, ca. 320-318/7 B.C. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / ΒΑΣΙ[ΛΕΩΣ Α]ΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟ[Υ], Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, AI; below throne, ΒΣ. Price 2953 ('Side'). Scarce. Light toning around the devices. Very fine.
