Description
Ptolemaic Kingdom. Cleopatra VII Thea Neotera. 51-30 B.C. AR tetradrachm (25 mm, 13.85 g, 12 h). Alexandria, regnal year 16 (37/6 B.C.) Diademed bust of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis / ΠTOΛEMAIOY BAΣI[ΛEΩΣ], Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; L Iζ (date) above headdress of Isis to left, ΠA to right. Svoronos 1830; SNG Copenhagen 411. Toned, obverse a little rough. A coin with very little actual wear, just some striking weakness and roughness. Very fine.
