Islands off Caria, Rhodes. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Early-mid 1sy century A.D. Æ drachm (36 mm, 25.75 g, 12 h). Demaratos, magistrate. Radiate and wreathed head of Dionysos right / POΔIΩ[N] in right field, Nike advancing right, holding wreath and palm; ΔAMA/PA/[T]OY in three lines in left field; EΠ[I] / TAM[IA] in two lines in right field. Cf. Ashton 113-4; RPC 2750. Brown patina, light roughness. Nearly very fine.
