L. Sempronius Pitio. 148 B.C. AR denarius (20 mm, 3.85 g, 6 h). Rome. PITIO behind, helmeted head of Roma right; below chin, X / L. SE(MP) below, ROMA in exergue, the Dioscuri riding right, each holding couched lance. Crawford 216/1; Sydenham 402; Sempronia 2. Old collection toning, good metal. Good very fine.

Comes with an old NFA ticket with a handwritten note that it was purchased from Joel Malter on 23 January 1975.
