A beautiful Narino bowl from Colombia, c. 750 – 1250 AD. This highly burnished Piartal style polychrome is 7-3/4” in diameter and is decorated with geometric designs arranged in a quartered star pattern representative of Venus. Vivid paint, strong mineral deposits. Ex Dr. Burton estate. Cf. Labbe “Colombia Before Columbus” for extensive details. Value range: $500 - $700
