Description
A pair of New Kingdom steatite plaques, c. 1570 – 1075 BC. The first with a ‘maze’ device on back and a goat standing before a male figure on base. 14 x 10mm. The second with back decorated with lines and the base with central register containing ‘Men-Kheper” between columns of geometric designs. 17.5 x 12.5mm. Both with very minor chips. Both ex Royal Athena Galleries, New York. Value Range $300 - $350.
