Description
BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Uncertain. Early-mid 1st century BC. AR Obol (0.46 gm; 11 mm). Nike standing right, holding wreath and palm frond / The Dioskouroi on horses rearing right, each holding palm frond. Zeno 143458 and note; otherwise unpublished in the standard references. One of three examples known. A similar example sold at CNG Auction 99, lot 416, 13 May 2015 for $ 3250 plus fee. Extremely rare.
