Zeugitania, Carthage. ca. 290-270 BC Electrum Stater (7.36 gm; 17 mm). Wreathed head of Tanit left. Reverse: Horse standing right on ground-line; single pellet on ground line. Jenkins & Lewis grp. VII; MAA 13; SNG Copenhagen 988. Some scattered marks on both sides. Edge marks noted, the result of having been removed from jewelry. Well struck on a nice flan. Lovely style. Ex Jewelry, mount removed from the top. Choice EF.
