SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgard I. AD 399-420. AR drachm (4.24 g; 27 mm). WH (Veh-Andiyok-Shapur) mint. Bust of Yazdgard I on floral ornament right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants, crescent to left of flames; “ w ” to right, “ h “ to left, and “ l’st(y) : true ” on altar shaft. SNS type Ib1/1a var. 4 (pl. 55, 67); Göbl I/1; Paruck -; Saeedi -. Choice FDC. Lustrous. Lightly toned.
