SASANIAN KINGS. Shapur I, AD 240-270. Æ unit (3.06 g; 15 mm). Veh-Ardashir (Seleucia) mint. Bust of Shapur right wearing a crown of pearls / Fire altar flanked by attendants. Only a handful of specimens known to exist in private collections. Göbl SN – (see Gobl Hormazd I [plate 3, #37]). Nice original green-reddish patina. Choice VF. Extremely Rare.
