Head of Apollo right, hair tied with taenia; aplustre behind / Nude horseman galloping to right, carrying long palm tied with fillet over shoulder; C•PISO•L•F FRVG and S in two lines below. Crawford 408/1a; Sydenham 851; RSC Calpurnia 24. Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Struck from very early stage of fresh dies. Struck in high relief. Choice FDC. Nice old-cabinet toning.
