Description
Nero Claudius Drusus. Died 9 B.C. Æ sestertius (34 mm, 25.81 g, 6 h). Rome, under Claudius, A.D. 41/2. NERO CLAVDIVS DRVSVS GERMANICVS IMP, bare head of Nero Claudius Drusus left / TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP, S C in exergue, emperor seated left on curule chair, holding branch and roll; below, weapons and armor on either side of globe. RIC 93; BMC 157; Cohen 8. A very pleasing portrait. 'Tiber' patina. A few small pits on obverse, scattered porosity on reverse. Good very fine / very fine.
