Calabria, Taras. Ca. 280-272 B.C. AR nomos (20 mm, 7.31 g, 10 h). Zo..., Apollo..., and Anth..., magistrates. Warrior on horseback left, holding round shield decorated with eight-pointed star and two spears; in right field and below, magistrates' names: [IΩ] and [AΠOΛΛΩ] / [T]APAΣ, Phalanthos, holding grape bunch and distaff, riding dolphin left; in right field, magistrate's name: ΑN[Θ]. Vlasto 792-6; SNG ANS 1134; HN Italy 1013. A little off center, light deposits and porosity. Very fine.
