Lucania, Velia. Ca. 340-334 B.C. AR nomos (22 mm, 7.24 g, 2 h). Head of Athena left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with a griffin; between neck guard and crest, Θ / YEΛHTΩN, lion prowling right; below, X. Williams 262 (O151/R207); SNG ANS 1293 (same dies); HN Italy 1284. Surfaces a little porous and cleaned. Good fine.
