Sicily, Syracuse. Agathokles. 317-289 B.C. Æ (20 mm, 7.75 g, 9 h). ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙ[ΩΝ], diademed head of Herakles right / Lion prowling right; above, club; in exergue, race torch. BAR issue 24; CNS 151 Ds 8 Rs 50; SNG ANS 737. Original green patina with an attractive sandy wash. Choice extremely fine.
